Before I get so far behind with everything, I figured I was well over due doing Ipsy August Glam Bag Review and talk about each of the products. For those who don’t know Ipsy, you pay a small price and receive 5 free samples as well as a makeup bag every month for you to try out. You then have a chance to accumulate points by sharing your reviews on the site about each product you received. Of course I will be doing it on their page, but I also wanted to do it on my blog. So here is my review on the Ipsy August Glam Bag for 2016.
What I received:
- Mermaid theme makeup bag
- Tarte Lip crème in Wonder
- Blending Bud
- Marc Anthony Argan Oil Conditioner
- Beauty Basics 3 Tone Bronzer
- Jelly Pong Pong’s Cosmetics Neapolitan Palette
My Reviews:
Mermaid Theme Makeup Bag –
Adorable, small, so perfect for maybe bringing to work for touch ups? Or if you don’t wear a lot of makeup. Unfortunately, for me to travel, this would do nothing for all my makeup. I am a makeup fanatic, but I also love makeup bags…. go figure.
Tarte Lip Crème in Wonder –
Love it, I absolutely love it. When I applied it, I was sure it would be dry. It applies nicely like a lip liner, but then you can blend it? It is surprisingly creamy, and the colour? Beautiful!!! It’s like having a lipstick as a pencil. I might be looking into more colours….
Blending Bud –
I think this is a must in everyone’s makeup wearing life. I never knew the importance before, but since I’ve been practicing, I kind of need one now. If you have a thick product, or need to blend, this is the tool you want to do it with. We have a thick concealer, and you only need a small amount, and this helps to blend it so that it doesn’t build up.
Marc Anthony Argan Oil Conditioner –
I didn’t open up my conditioner because I have had Marc Anthony products before, in fact, I have used this product. I really like Marc Anthony and I am a little obsessed with the smell. I’m horrible for describing smells, but it reminds me of the tropics. It’s not fruity like a Pina Colada, but it has that floral scent maybe? Like I said, I’m horrible with describing smells.
Beauty Basics 3 Tone Bronzer –
I wasn’t really able to test this product because 1, it arrived broken and 2, it’s way too dark for me. It looked like I was really trying to get some wicked tan lines on my face. So, I can’t give a fair review. I did write to Ipsy and they are supposed to send me a new one, maybe I can control the colour? It’s 3 toned, so I should be able to focus on one side (hopefully)
Jelly Pong Pong’s Cosmetics Neapolitan Palette –
Beautiful! The colours really stand out. You don’t have to fight for it to show, you just apply it and it’s there. It’s a gorgeous mix, neutral and shimmery. I am very happy with the look it gives.
I know it’s short and sweet on Ipsy August Glam Bag, but in all, I just wanted to say that I was very happy with the products. I received some really good quality products to try out and got a bit addicted to Tarte’s Lip Crème… I will be checking that out next time I shop on Sephora (this is the problem with Ipsy, you find some amazing products 😉 )
Here is the final look of the makeup products I received (minus the bronzer, because, as previously said, it was too dark)
